Parish Choir: Marie Therese Vassallo Voice Studio

The Choir of Marie Therese Vassallo Voice Studio was established in 1987 by Mezzo-Soprano Marie Therese Vassallo and since then it has built up a reputation of successes in the musical field in Malta and abroad, having travelled on singing trips to Sables D’Olonnes, France (2010), Wales, UK (2011), Havant and Portsmouth, UK (2012) and London (UK) for Malta Day (2016).  Their repertoire includes Sacred Music, Opera, Musical Theatre, Standard, Folk and Modern songs, singing in the original languages, including English, Italian, French, German and Russian.  Their programmes always include a good number of Maltese compositions.  Since 2006, the choir has been the resident choir of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish Church, Balluta, where they animate the Liturgy during all the principal occasions throughout the year. Their principal engagement in Balluta is the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel during the last week of July every year.

The Musical and Artistic Director of the Choir and Orchestra is Dame Mro. Marie Therese Vassallo.
