PARISH NOTICES – SUNDAY 23rd September 2018

1.   ON FRIDAY, after the evening Mass, the Olandi Trajecti Voces Holland Choir, under the direction of Paul Snoek, will be giving a short concert. Everyone is invited to attend.

2.  On 1st October, catechism classes will start at the Titus Brandsma Centre in Scicluna Street.  We remind those parents who have still not registered their children, to kindly do so at the parish office during office hours, or on Sunday from 10.00am to noon.

3. Members of, the Parish Pastoral Council, the Liturgical Commission, the Family Commission, the Diaconian Commission, together with the Lectors and Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, are requested to collect the Data Protection form from the sacristy.  This form has to be filled in and returned to the parish office by not later than Wednedsay 3rd October.  Those  members who have already filled in this form through some other service in the parish, have no need to fill in another form.

4.  The Sliema Local Council would like to inform the public that bookings for the flu vaccine will being accepted till next Wednesday.

PARISH NOTICES – SUNDAY 16th September 2018

1.   Parents who have not yet registered their children for Catechism classes, are kindly requested to call at the parish office during office hours, or at the sacristy on Sunday after the 10.00am Mass.  Both parents have to be present and they both have to present their ID Cards.

PARISH NOTICES – SUNDAY 9th September 2018

1.   Throught this week, the Carmelite Province in Malta will be celebrating the Provincial Chapter which will be led by the Most Rev Prior General of the Carmelite Order, Fr. Fernando Millán Romeral, On Friday, 14th September, at the end of the Chapter, we would like to offer to all those who in some way are part of the Carmelite family, the possibility to meet our Prioir General.  Therefore, we invite you to join us in a Celebration of the Carmelite Family which will be held at St. Elias College, St. Venera, at 7.30pm.   Those who would like to join us can list there names at the sacrsity.  Transport will leave Balluta Square at 6.45pm.

2. Sunday is Holy Land Day. The Auxiliary Bishop Joe Galea Curmi appeals for prayers for our brethren who live there, and for peace in the Holy Land. He also encourages us to help financially with a generous donation in the collections during Mass on Saturday evening and those on Sunday.  With our donation we will be helping in keeping religious places open, sustaining religious work and helping those who live in the Holy Land.

PARISH NOTICES – SUNDAY 2nd September 2018

1.  Today is the feast of St. Gregory.  We would like to wish a happy feast to their Archpriest, the clergy and all the parishioners of St. Gregory Parish.

2. Friday is the first Friday of the month.  At 5.45pm there will be adoration led by the Divine Mercy Group.

3.  Saturday is the Feast of the Nativity of Mary. Mass times are as those on weekdays.  One can still sanctify this day by taking part in Holy Mass.

 4.  As you probably know, from the 10th to the 14th of this September, the Carmelite Province in Malta will be celebrating the Provincial Chapter. The Chapter will be led by the Most Rev Prior General of the Carmelite Order, Fr. Fernando Millán Romeral, accompanied by the Councilor General Fr. John Keating O.Carm.  On Friday, 14th September, at the end of the Chapter, we would like to offer to all those who in some way are part of the Carmelite family, the possibility to meet our Prioir General.  Therefore, we invite you to join us in a Celebration of the Carmelite Family which will be held at St. Elias College, St. Venera, at 7.30pm.   Those who would like to join us can list there names at the sacrsity.  Transport will leave Balluta Square at 6.45pm.
