PARISH NOTICES – SUNDAY 30th JULY 2017
THIS EVENING at 5:45pm: Vespers of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel.
At 6:15pm Mass (instead of at 6:30pm).
At 7:30pm: Procession with the statue of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel led by the Most Rev. Provincial Fr. Alexander Vella O.Carm. During the prcession there will be the recital of the Holy Rosary.
At 10:30pm: The statue enters the Parish Church. The Antiphon Flos Carmeli will be sung, followed by Benediction.
FRIDAY is the first Friday of the month. At 5.45pm there will be an adoration led by the Divine Mercy Group.
Maltese Emigrants who are presently on holiday in Malta, are invited to a meeting, which the Emigrant Commission together with the President Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, are organizing at San Anton Palace on Tuesday 1st August 2017 at 10.00am. More details are on the Notice-Boards.
We thank all those who have helped in the internal and external Feast’s preparations. We appeal to those who, after this eve’s procession, can give a helping hand, even if for a little while. This will be highly appreciated as volunteers are not too many.

OUR LADY OF MOUNT CARMEL PARISH – BALLUTA
PARISH NOTICES – SUNDAY 23rd JULY 2017
ON MONDAY during the 6:30pm Mass there will be the initiation vestition and profession ceremony of Members of the Carmelite Third Order.
ON TUESDAY at 6:30pm: Mass will be with the participation of families and children. There will be a short address on Our Lady by the young Neil Galea. Families are encouraged to bring the young ones for this Mass.
WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY and FRIDAY are days of Triduum. During the Triduum the preacher will be Fr. Darren Pace, member of the Carmelite Third Order.
WEDNESDAY at 5:45pm Presentation of babies to Our Lady with the participation of families who celebrated the birth of a child during this year.
At 6:30pm: Mass. Couples who this year are celebrating a special wedding anniversary are invited and encouraged to attend.
THURSDAY at 10.15am: Mass for the sick and elderly in which the Sacrament of Anointing of the sick will be administered.
At 6:30pm Mass with the participation of people who serve as Animators and Lectors, and Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion.
FRIDAY during the 6:30pm. special prayers will be said for our departed loved ones who have passed away between last year’s feast and that of this year. Relatives are invited to this Mass.
SATURDAY at 9:30am: Mass at the end of which the Te Deum is sung.
At 5:45pm Vespers of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel.
At 6:30pm Solemn Mass on the Feast’s eve, led by Prior Fr. Charles Mallia O.Carm.
SUNDAY, Feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, mass will be at 6.00, 7.00, 8.00, 9.00, 11.00 u 12.00.
At 9:00am: Feast Day Mass led by Parish Priest Fr. Joe Saliba O.Carm. Sermon by Msgr. Lawrenz Sciberras. There will be no 10:00am Mass.

Notices – 16/07/17
Today, Feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, at 7:00pm a procession with the devote statue will start from the Basilica of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Valletta. We encourage you to visit the Basilica on this feast day.
This evening is the last Apparition of Our Lady of Lourdes. At 8:00pm in Independence Garden, there will be an aux flambaux procession near the statue of Our Lady.
The Last Collection of donations for the Feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, will end this week. This collection helps with the expenses of the lighting, bands and other expences during the Feast period. Collections will be as follows:
MONDAY: From 9:15am. Mrabat Street, Mrabat Lane and Savoy Hill
From 5:00pm. Bonavita, Balluta, Sisters and Fr. Anton Tabone Streets
TUESDAY: From 5:00pm. Sacred Heart, Dun Guzepp Xerri, Furtu Selvatico and Zammit Clapp Streets.
ON TUESDAY at 7.15pm at the Parish Centre, there will be a GRUFAN meeting.
FRIDAY gives start to preparations for the Feast. At 7:15pm in Balluta Square there will be an adoration led by the Comunità Abramo. We are all encouraged to attend as a sign of faith and to pray that these feast days will be of spiritual benefit for all those who participate.
SATURDAY we celebrate the exit of the Statue from its niche. At 6:30pm Mass will be with the participation of the External Feast Commission and the Musical Society ‘Tal-Karmu Balluta’. During Mass the mandat will be given to the statue bearers and their leader. At 7:15pm, the statue of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel will be carried out from its niche to the parvis where Our Lady will be greeted with hymns.
ON SUNDAY evening, the 6:30pm Mass will be animated by the Divine Mercy Group.

From the 2nd to the 4th of August, a LIVE-IN will be organised by Carmel Teen for students who have just finish Forms 1, 2 and 3. For more information please contact the Parish Priest.
On Thursday 27th July , at 10.15am we will be organising a Mass for the Elderly. Those who know of any elderly people who would like to attendthis mass and will be needing transport, and also those who know of persons who can offer transport, are kindly requested to contact the parish priest or Doris Mallia.
