PARISH NOTICES – SUNDAY 23rd APRIL 2017
Family Blessings for this week will be as follows:
MONDAY – OLD COLLEGE STREET (the upper part) and OLD COLLEGE HILL.
TUESDAY- OLD COLLEGE STREET (Balluta Mansions only).
WEDNESDAY – SUR FONS STREET – (St. Julian’s Court Blks. B, C u D and Anobat Flats.)
THURSDAY – SUR FONS STREET – Oakhill, Douglas House, Oakleaf, Oakmore u St. John’s Flats.
FRIDAY – CARMELITES STREET and SCICLUNA STREET.
ON MONDAY Catechism lessons will resume at the respective centres.
WEDNESDAY is the second Wednesday of Devotion of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. At 6.00pm there will be the recital of the The Rosary and at 6.30pm Mass with a sermon by Fr. Victor Paul.
Visits to the Elderly is one of the Works of Mercy which Pope Francis encourages us to carry out. On THURSDAY, a visit will be made to the elderly residing at Roseville and Casa Antonis in Balzan. Those who would like to join can book at the Parish Office
Next SUNDAY is CHARITY DAY. All proceeds from the collections on next Saturday and Sunday will go to works of charity and Charity Homes that the Church has in Malta.
On WEDNESDAY 10th May there will be a Mother’s Day outing starting with Mass at the Millenium Chapel. Tickets are available at the Parish Office.
A few places are still available for the Pilgrimage to Fatima between the 9th and 16 of August 2017. Those who would like to join can book at the Parish Office.

FRIDAY – Part of OLD COLLEGE STREET (from Tower Road to St. Ignatious Street).
ON WEDNESDAY a special devotion of Wednesdays of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel start. At 6.00pm there will be the recital of the The Rosary and at 6.30pm Mass with a sermon by Fr. Victor Paul.
SUNDAY is the Feast of the Divine Mercy. At 3.30pm there will be adoration followed by Mass of the Divine Mercy.

OUR LADY OF MOUNT CARMEL PARISH – BALLUTA
PARISH NOTICES – SUNDAY 9th APRIL 2017
On Monday, at 5.00pm, Mass for Children and Families with the rite of the Washing of the Feet. At 7.00pm, Adoration of the Cross in Balluta Square.
On Tuesday at 6.30pm The Way of The Cross starts at Fr. Mariano Vella Str and proceeds through: Camenzuli Str., St. Angelo Str., St. Henry Str., St. Helen., Manuel Dimech Str, Ġafar Str., Camenzuli Str., Old College Str. and Fr. Mariano Vella Str., and ends at the Chapel.
On Wednesday at 6.00pm there will be The Way of The Cross. At 6.30pm: Concelebrated Mass and at 7.30pm, The Way of the Cross in Valletta organised by the Archdiocese.
On Thursday, Friday and Saturday morning there wil be no masses.
On Maundy Thursday at 7.00am there will be the Office of Readings and Morning Prayers together with the faithful. At 6.30pm, the Solemn Memorial of the Lord’s Supper. At00pm, Visits to the Holy Eucharist. and at 10.00pm, Adoration.
On Good Friday the church opens at 6.00am. At 8.00am Psalms will be said together with the faithful. At 9.00am Visits to the Holy Eucharist led by the Carmelite Third Order. At 3.00pm: Remembrance of the Passion and Death of the Lord. Good Friday is a day of fasting and abstinence.
On Saturday from00pm to 6.00pm there will be confessions. At 8.00pm, Mass of the Easter Vigil.
On Easter Sunday Mass times will be as those of Sundays. At 9.00am, Easter Sunday Mass. At 9.45am, a joyous Celebration on the church parvis with the blessing and distribution of Easter ‘Figolli’ to children.
Those who wish, can collect a copy of the programme for Holy Week by the church doors.
The External Feast Commission invites parishioners to visit the Good Friday Exhibition which on display at their stores.
We remind you that this is the Week of Sacrifice to collect funds for people in difficulties. One can make a donation in the boxes by the altar. The Lord blesses and rewards every sacrifice we do to express our solidarity and love to others.

OUR LADY OF MOUNT CARMEL PARISH – BALLUTA
PARISH NOTICES – SUNDAY 2nd APRIL 2017
On WEDNESDAY at 5.55pm, instead of the Holy Rosary, there will be the Stations of the Cross.
On THURSDAY, in preparation for the feast of Our Lady of Sorrows and the Holy Week, two priest will be available for Confessions from 6.00 to 7.30pm.
FRIDAY, feast of Our Lady of Sorrows, Mass times in the morning will be as those of weekdays. In the evening at 5.15pm there will be The Way of the Cross and at 6.00pm the procession with the statue of Our Lady of Sorrows.
On SATURDAY, Vespers start at 6.00pm. At 6.25pm there will be the Blessing of Olive Leaves at the entrance of the church followed by Mass at 6.30pm. At 7.30pm, a Good Friday Concert by Marie Therese Voice Choir. Everyone is invited.
Sunday is Palm Sunday. At 9.40am there will be the Blessings of Olive Leaves in Balluta Square followed by a joyous procession to the Parish Church, with the participation of children and families. At 10.00am, Palm Sunday Mass.
